2016 was the biggest year in MMA history in every category. Numbers, popularity and coverage all rose to record numbers in the sport’s 24th year. Conor McGregor was undoubtedly the most talked about fighter in both the MMA circle and mainstream media, with Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey not far behind in widespread coverage. More headlines were written when the UFC was sold for over 4 billion dollars and when the sport made it’s debut in the World’s Most Famous Arena. On a much smaller note, we launched our site midway through the year. We still have a long way to go and tons of room to grow, but even our small numbers have grown exponentially since our launch in June.
With that said, we’re excited to present the 2016 Untitled Awards. We’ve gone over the best of the best from each category from UFC 195 in January all the way to UFC 207 on December 30, and this is what we’ve come up with…

Female Fighter of the Year: Amanda Nunes
