Last week I posted 2 parlays for UFC 211. I ended up playing another 1 unit parlay of Vick-Knight-Branch at about +400 and it caused. I lost the 2 unit first bet because of the Poirer-Alvarez No-Contest and I did what you should never ever EVER do... I made another bet to try and win it back. I bet 2 units on Branch-Edgar at about +340 and, obviously, that cashed. Then I took 4 units from that and bet it on Demian Maia at -125 and won again. Then my 4 unit Jedrzejczyk-Miocic parlay cashed at +175 and all of a sudden I was up just over 19 units. While I admit that I bet fairly small, it was still a huge win for me. Since then, between betting baseball and basketball during the week, I'm up 48 units. Crazy.
I've now simultaneously convinced myself that I've become an expert on sports betting, and come to terms with the fact that this run is going to end horribly. There's a strong chance that downfall starts tonight. That said, my pick for Bellator tonight is: 4 units on a MacDonald-McGeary-Kongo parlay at +165
From my experience, betting the favorites on Bellator cards is the way to go. As obvious as that sounds, they are usually stacked with fights with lopsided odds and tonight is no different. McGeary has the worst odds and that's at -165. Hopefully this run continues and I can keep living in this fantasy world where I actually win bets.
