The UFC hops across the pond to London this weekend, and on the main card, a hot Bantamweight prospect in Tom Duquesnoy, fighting out of Paris, is on it and looks to bounce back. Today, we look at Duquesnoy's young career thus far and make a prediction of his future.

Check out that video. From the level of skill he demonstrates in the cage, you'd think he'd be like 25, 26 because he's being touted as a prospect by the UFC. Well, he's currently 24. And this particular highlight video was published over 2 years ago. For a then-22 year-old, Duquesnoy has shown a surprisingly well rounded game, racking up 4 wins by submission already in his young career. What puts you on the map, as everyone knows, are knockouts, and his are also top flight, winning 8 of his fights by way of KO or TKO. So, of his current 15 wins, only 3, or 20%, have come by decision. An 80% finish rate is a telltale sign of an ELECTRIC fighter and must-see TV, and that is what Duquesnoy is showing he can be.

Duqesnoy's UFC debut showed the MMA world two things: he wasn't afraid of the spotlight and, most importantly, he came as advertised. Winning by TKO after landing a devastating elbow on Patrick Williams sent riffles in the organization that he was the next man up in Bantamweight. Since then, he has had a setback at the hands of Cody Stamann in a close split decision. This fight did well to show that the young Parisian still has holes in his game that he needs to work on, the biggest being his wrestling, as he was taken down 4 times on 5 attempts.

From that loss, I am certain Duquesnoy, who now trains at Jackson-Wink, went back, watched the tape, and got better. That's what all the greats do, and I see him as a potential great in this divison and this sport. He seems to have a great work ethic and a genuine interest in getting better in all facets of mixed-martial-arts, and that, paired with his obvious natural talents, can take him very far in the UFC's most stacked division. Be sure to tune into Duquesnoy's fight against Terrence Ware and his fights to come: this one is gonna be special.
