This Weekend’s ONE FC Main Event is Must-See MMA

While the UFC may be off this weekend, that doesn’t mean there aren’t any big fights that you need to catch. Singapore-Based ONE FC is holding it’s “ONE: Iron Will” card this weekend in Bangkok, and the main event is almost surely the biggest non-UFC or Bellator fight of the year thus far.

New Zealand’s Ben Nguyen will be seeking his 3rd(!!) ONE FC world title against current Bantamweight Champion, Brazil’s Bibiano Fernandes. Nguyen already holds the promotion’s Lightweight and Featherweight championships. He also was selected as the Untitled MMA non-UFC Fighter of the Year for 2017.

Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen will be riding a 10-1 record and a 6 fight win streak into the super fight, with the only decision of his career being his pro debut in 2013.

Fernandes will take a 21-3 record, as well as a 13 fight win streak, into his title defense this weekend.  Bibiano’s 9th consecutive title fight is arguably the biggest of his career as the 37 year old will look to derail the hype train behind his younger opponent Nguyen.

The main card will air at 7:30 AM Eastern Standard Time. For more info, visit ONEFC.com.
