Kevin Lee vs Justin Gaethje: Book It

After Gaethje proved me wrong and destroyed James Vick at UFC Lincoln, he needs a step up to see how high he can climb in the division after two stumbles. Kevin Lee may be his next opponent.
Lee had said that he would rather fight Gaethje when given a choice between him and Al Iaquinta. Lee, coming off of a win against Edson Barboza in April, needs to fight someone while the top gets sorted out. With Tony, Khabib, Poirier, and Nate all having fights, it left Lee in a pickle. He pretty much only had options of Gaethje and Iaquinta unless he wants to take a BIG step down.
The two also match up well. Lee and Gaethje have collegiate wrestling experience, have shown power on the feet and are generally exciting guys. The story going into the fight would be if Lee tries to wrestle Gaethje, and if Gaethje will do literally anything else besides pressure and stand right in front of an opponent. Either way, it’s a fight I'd really like to see, and the joy of the division is that there are tons of these fights that can be made: fights that are fun to watch for the average viewer and are still important in the rankings.
To me, it makes sense to book the two for late this year, possibly on the Cyborg-Nunes card. This would be a great main card fight for a card that is beginning to take shape. Also, this would certainly be an official Untitled MMA BANGER.
