What is Left for Jose Aldo?

Jose Aldo is in the co-main event of this weekends UFC Fortaleza card. In his first fight back since losing his Featherweight title to Max Holloway at UFC 212, he is looking to continue his winning ways, squaring off against promising prospect Renato Moicano. Beyond this weekend, however, what is left for Aldo in the sport?
If Aldo loses to Moicano, this question is much simpler: step away from the sport. He had considered retirement after the second loss to Max Holloway, so the end is near, at least in his mind. While he would have two fights left on his contract, if he has zero intention on returning to fighting, this could be a viable option. If he wanted to finish his contract, there are fun fights to make, such as a Korean Zombie rematch, Yair, and Zabit. He would be an elite gatekeeper, but nothing more if he drops this fights to Moicano.
If he wins, however, things are a bit more difficult. Aldo looked to extremely sharp against Jeremy Stephens last July, only taking a round to put out the punishing striker. He has the talent to likely contend for a belt, but as long as Max holds the throne, there is not a title fight to make. With that being said, with two fights left, he may get another top contender, maybe Brian Ortega or Alexander Volkanovski. If he wins that fight, too, then MAYBE he could get a title shot for his last fight under contract in what would likely be his last fight, at least in the UFC. I know there are some (Buju) that hate the idea of winning and vacating, but if that is the way it works out for Aldo, I can respect it. The guy made the division what it is, beating an entire line of killers along the way. He’s an all-time great, who SHOULD be up there as one of the P4P best ever, so if he can end his career on top, I’m all for it.
