The fights are almost here! Untitled MMA is going to be TRAVELLING to UFC Nashville this weekend, where the Music City is playing host to the world’s best MMA promotion. In the co-main event, there is a clash of top-10 heavyweights with Curtis Blaydes squaring off against Justin Willis.
This Saturday, the UFC is in Toronto for UFC 231, where it is headlined by the leader of the Blessed Era Max Holloway and Brian Ortega. This is truly a razor close fight and shows how far MMA has evolved, as these two exemplify 2018 elite MMA skills.
The UFC heads back to the Sunshine State and the Staples Center in LA, where a long-awaited rematch at 135 is set to take place between TJ Dillashaw and Cody Garbrandt. TJ Dillashaw is champion following the KO finish of Cody in the first meeting last year. After being nearly finished in the second, he came roaring back and scored the knockout, leading to one of the greatest photos in MMA history (see below). It was such a great fight the first time around, and these two are determined to have the belt around their waist when they leave the arena Saturday. Along with just the belt, there is BAD BLOOD between these two (there will be more on that next week as a post-fight thought), and it looks to boil over into the octagon this weekend.
While I have been seeing a lot of talk about this weekend’s card, there hasn’t been a whole lot of talk about the main event, which is an excellent main event to cap off an excellent card. If this is you as well, fear not, because here’s a preview of the Middleweight championship bout between Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero.
This Saturday, the UFC once again visits the Windy City for a great night of fights. Between 2 (sorta) belts on the line, a probable title eliminator, among others, there’s a lot to look forward to.
So, good news and bad news. Starting with the bad news, Tony Ferguson is out. Again. That will be touched upon another time, but the good news is that Max "Blessed" Holloway has stepped up on 6 days notice and will fight Khabib for the Lightweight Championship to headline UFC 223. And let me tell you something, boys and girls, this is gonna be interesting.
UFC Austin is coming, and with it comes a BANGER of a main event between Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros. Today, we preview that fight.
Leading into UFC Belem this weekend, the main event features MMA legend Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida and "Ya Boy" Eryk Anders. Here, we will spotlight Anders, giving his background, as he is a relatively new face to UFC elite.
