2019 is HERE. While we have two weeks until the first card of the year, now is a great time to look at the UFC roster and make a few predictions for this upcoming calendar year. Also, now that I put these in writing, I am almost certain that none of these will hold to be true at the end of the year.
UFC 229 is this weekend, and the main event is one for the ages: Conor McGregor returns to the UFC for the first time in nearly 2 years to face Khabib Nurmagomedov. There gave been claims of mauling and knockouts from both sides of the exchange, and today we are going to give a scenario where Khabib beats Conor and retains his UFC Lightweight belt.

Happy Conor Week, friends. It is about time there is a UFC card and Conor McGregor is headlining. It is long overdue. Now, with that, he is not the sole story that is worth mentioning this weekend. Here, we are going to mention some other noteworthy storylines.
This weekend, the UFC makes their long-awaited maiden voyage to Russia, home of current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The card is far from great; it is actually kind of bad. So bad in fact that the UFC is only putting it on Fight Pass, which severely limits the reach the card will get beyond those in attendance and extremely hardcore fans. So, with a card that is lacking in big fights, is this a sign of how much the UFC is willing to invest in Russia?
If you know nothing else about me as a person, I am a HUGE advocate of Mr. McGregor. He is among my idols, he changed the game, and has called his shots up until now, including this monumental bout.
The Untitled boys accidentally solved the UFC weigh in situation…
In the aftermath of UFC 223, there is a new Lightweight champion in Khabib Nurmagomedov and a mess of a division underneath him. Today, we talk about that mess of a division.
So, good news and bad news. Starting with the bad news, Tony Ferguson is out. Again. That will be touched upon another time, but the good news is that Max "Blessed" Holloway has stepped up on 6 days notice and will fight Khabib for the Lightweight Championship to headline UFC 223. And let me tell you something, boys and girls, this is gonna be interesting.
With UFC 223 being the next on the UFC's calendar, we begin our coverage of it by touching some of the biggest storylines heading into the biggest PPV of the year so far.
In this episode we discuss UFC 222 (Cyborg, Brian Ortega, Sean Omalley, Mackenzie Dern, etc.), Uriah Hall vs Paulo Borrachinha, Chuck Liddell to Bellator, Miesha Tate & Jon Jones, Justin Buchholz leaving Team Alpha Male and Conor McGregor (maybe) being stripped of his title.
