2019 is HERE. While we have two weeks until the first card of the year, now is a great time to look at the UFC roster and make a few predictions for this upcoming calendar year. Also, now that I put these in writing, I am almost certain that none of these will hold to be true at the end of the year.

There gave been claims of mauling and knockouts from both sides of the exchange, and today we are going to give a scenario where Khabib beats Conor and retains his UFC Lightweight belt.

Happy Conor Week, friends. It is about time there is a UFC card and Conor McGregor is headlining. It is long overdue. Now, with that, he is not the sole story that is worth mentioning this weekend. Here, we are going to mention some other noteworthy storylines.

How big will the UFC be in Russia?

This weekend, the UFC makes their long-awaited maiden voyage to Russia, home of current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The card is far from great; it is actually kind of bad. So bad in fact that the UFC is only putting it on Fight Pass, which severely limits the reach the card will get beyond those in attendance and extremely hardcore fans. So, with a card that is lacking in big fights, is this a sign of how much the UFC is willing to invest in Russia?

Max "Blessed" Holloway: Next Champ-Champ?

So, good news and bad news. Starting with the bad news, Tony Ferguson is out. Again. That will be touched upon another time, but the good news is that Max "Blessed" Holloway has stepped up on 6 days notice and will fight Khabib for the Lightweight Championship to headline UFC 223. And let me tell you something, boys and girls, this is gonna be interesting.
